I used a property manager to manage and lease all apartment units. After experiencing many delays in renting my units, including one unit that was vacant for over two months, I decided to try using an outside leasing agent, Jackie Tom, owner of Rentals In SF. Within days, this vacant unit was leased for hundreds of dollars more than with the previous leasing agent.
Since then, I have restructured the way my buildings are managed and have partnered with Rentals in SF to handle all the leasing for all of my 150 units. As a result, I have experienced a large increase in my monthly rent roll and, excitedly, lower vacancy rates, and less time on market!
It is with this partnership, that in 2013 I was recognized as the 2013 Landlord of the Year in the 100+ unit category. Rentals In SF continues to handles 100% of all my residential tenants.
